Leadership

Derrick Rocha, Chief Technical Officer (CTO)

Derrick started his career working at Hughes Aircraft in the Radar Systems Group. During his tenure there he worked on numerous fighter aircraft including the F-15E, F-14D, F/A-18 and the B2. His primary duties involved developing software directly for or supporting the indicated radar systems on these aircraft. He also worked on the AN/ALR-67(V3) Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) during its initial design and the eventual final road to customer deployment.

He spent a short time working in the commercial industry fine tuning his project management skills while designing and implementing software systems sold to the public. During this time he developed a real appreciation for understanding customer’s end goals and developing solutions to reach beyond their expectations.

Derrick’s transition back to the Aerospace & Defense sector brought him fully into a systems engineering role focused on developing Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, Target Generator (TGTGEN) systems, and Radar Environment Simulator (RES) systems. The EW systems were utilized primarily for pilot training, pilot evaluation, threat emulation, and engagement simulations. The TGTGEN and RES work involved creating realistic targets and environments for the test and evaluation of modern airborne and ground radar systems.
